Mars Needs Moms. And Hollywood Needs Some New Ideas

You’ve seen the posters appearing around the city. You’ve maybe even had to sit through the trailer. But strap on your 3D glasses, folks, because “Mars Needs Moms” is about to hit the theaters and unless you win the rock-paper-scissors contest, you’re going to have to shell out perfectly good money for a movie about a boy learning to appreciate his mom after she’s abducted by Martians. Martians who want her “mom-ness” for their own.

Apparently the movie comes from a book written by Berkeley Breathed, who I will always adore for creating “Bloom County,” but in the words of Bill the Cat:
