This photo ran in the Times today. Saxby Chambliss, a Republican from Georgia, was giving a news briefing about the appalling nature of the Democratic health plan when the Senate seal fell off the front of the podium.
Thud. It’s as if the podium itself wanted to weigh in on Republican “commentary” (read: hysterical fear-mongering) against health care reform.
Thud. If only it were so easy to strip the insignia of privilege from Senators.
